Scenario 1
MCB can be reset
Possible cause
• Faulty appliance.
• Overloaded circuit.

Getting it fixed
• Disconnect faulty appliance from the socket outlet.
• Disconnect appliance which causes overloading.

MCB cannot be reset
Possible causes
• Cable shorted.
• Faulty appliance.
• Wrongly connected cables.

Repair a Leaking Pillar Tap

When the tap leaks
A tap usually leaks when the washer is worn out.

How to replace washer
To change the washer, turn off the ball valve below the wash basin or stop cock located next to the water sub-meter in a clockwise direction to cut off the water supply.

• Remove the plastic cap on top of the tap and the screw by using a screw driver.
• Remove the handle.
• Loosen the spindle by using a spanner in a anti-clockwise direction.
• Remove the spindle.
• Unscrew the nut at the bottom of the spindle. Remove the worn out rubber washer and replace it.
• Assemble all the parts.
